Sexist doesn’t even begin to describe the collection of ads and products Salon‘s Katie McDonough has put together. One of the products, pictured above, is a decal of a woman bound in the back of the truck. Brad Kolb, owner of the Waco, Texas-based Hornet Signs has made some interesting comments about his product, claiming that it was an effort to raise awareness for domestic violence and that a company employee voluntarily posed for the decal which was placed on a Hornet Sign employee’s truck.
Newsflash, Brad. You can’t justify a decal of a woman bound in the back of the truck by saying that the employee who posed for the image did so on her own volition. It’s. Still. Wrong.
